Design of additional environmental surveys, safety and remediation measures of the former production plant in the industrial area of Frosinone.
The Itron site (formerly Actaris) is located in the industrial area of Frosinone and is part of the Site of National Interest of the Sacco river: the area, which was used in the past for the production of electromechanical meters, has been abandoned since 2001.
Following the completion of environmental classification activities and the submission and approval of the Risk Analysis procedure, a hydraulic barrier was established by pumping from 4 piezometers located along the southern border of the site.

Since 2015 Pro Iter Ambiente is responsible for managing and maintaining the hydraulic barrier as well as for the treatment system of pumped water prior to discharge into the sewage system. The company also monitors regularly the piezometric network (affecting the superficial and deep-water table) existing on site.
Further additional surveys are currently underway to obtain more detailed information for the environmental site assessment.
Operation and maintenance of the hydraulic barrier and water treatment system is carried out both on-site and remotely.
