In its Research and Development activities, PRO ITER has consolidated over the years a strong expertise in the rings lining design of prefabricated elements for tunnels realized with TBM methods.
We publish some recent results related to the use of alternative reinforcements for these coatings, presented at the course organized by CTE ('Collegio Italiano dei Tecnici dell'Industrializzazione delle Costruzioni'), the Milan Engineers Order, under the patronage of SIG (Italian Society of Tunnels) and FIB (International Federation for Structural Concrete).
The course has been a great success thanks to the contributions of teachers Dr. Eng. Carlo Beltrami (Lombardi Ingegneria), Prof. Eng. Marco Di Prisco (Politecnico of Milan) and Prof. Eng. Giovanni Plizzari (University of Brescia).
