Preparation of the technical and administrative documentation required for submitting the Environmental Impact Assessment screening application for the revamping project of a waste recovery plant in the Province of Pavia.

The revamping project includes the introduction of new activities for the treatment, processing and recovery of some waste fractions originating from the separate waste collection service and from urban green maintenance activities, specifically green waste and bulky waste/WEEE, as well as the logistical reorganization of the plant.

The activities carried out included:

1) Preparation of the environmental documentation required for the Environmental Impact Assessment screening procedure, as provided by Legislative Decree 152/2006 and by regional legislation. Specifically have been prepared a Preliminary Environmental Study report, a report containing a detailed analysis of the siting criteria for waste management facilities as defined by the Regional Waste Management Plan and by the Province of Pavia, and an environmental context characterization checklist and a public health assessment report according to the regional legislation.

2) Uploading of all environmental, design and administrative documentation to the dedicated regional portal.

As part of the procedure, the documentation of the Appropriate Assessment was also prepared and submitted to the competent Authority, as required by the regional legislation.
