On Saturday 18 September 2021, the civic authorities, the Metropolitan City and Region have officially opened to traffic the new Cassano d'Adda bypass.

With the completion of the main route last section (including the box-shaped subway to Provincial Road 104 and the bridges over the River Adda and the Muzza and Rivoltana Canals), a particularly troubled road construction site was formally closed, after over a decade.

The complementary works continues at a fast pace to complete the cycle and pedestrian paths that will guarantee the continuity of the existing tracks along the Muzza Canal, providing connections with the Railway Station, the new Station car park and the new track alongside the main route (which continues from the Station to the roundabout at the intersection with the Provincial Road 45).

The event celebrations has described on the national and local press (click to links).
